Position Overview
The food plater plates the food in a presentable manner, following presentation guidelines and portion size. A plater may also finalize the presentation of the plate and test the temperature of the food. Platers must be able to respond quickly to the request for more food.
Essential Job Functions
Must have strong attention to detail and be able to multi-task in a fast paced, production type of environment.
Must be able to stand, and bend and work in hot conditions. A plater must be in good physical condition.
Must be a self-thinker and able to make sound judgment calls.
Requirements
Requires a high school diploma with minimum of 1 year experience or in a related area. May perform a variety of tasks other than plating food. Must have a food handler’s permit. A plater works under general supervision of a supervisor or manager.
Hours/Shift
(AM) 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
(PM) 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
(NIGHT) 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
(GRAVE) 12:00 a.m. (midnight) to 8:00 a.m.
