At present, we are seeking qualified candidates for the following position:
Power Supply Test Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION
:
Observe custom power supplies being assembled. These are usually high current, well regulated units for national laboratories and commercial customers.
Become familiar with circuitry of units in production.
When units are assembled and wired, you will connect AC input, DC output to a load and cooling water as required.
You will be instructed in specific circuitry and specifications.
You will turn on the equipment and trouble-shoot any miss-wiring or bad components.
You will follow a test report and confirm performance specs. You will mark up the schematic as to circuit changes
The typical power supply will require one-to-three weeks to complete tests.
Of course, experienced test technicians will be available to assist you in completing the tests.
REQUIREMENTS AA degree in electronics/electrical subjects, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of basic power supply circuitry.
Knowledge of basic electromechanical assembly/disassembly.
Ability to read and understand power supply schematics.
Ability to use multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and other measurement/diagnostic equipment.
Ability to make wiring changes as required (soldering and crimping).
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to load programs on micro-controller chips useful.
Ability to write simple basic software routines useful.
Must work well with others and be a team player.
Must have good communication skills
Must be U.S. Citizen
Must be aware of precautions in working with 480VAC circuits.
Have analytical abilities in solving problems.

Job description
The Fremont YMCA is growing at a fast pace, and we are looking for a talented, enthusiastic Community Programs Director. Under the supervision of the Branch Operations Director, the Community Programs Director is responsible for all youth and family programs and services.
Specifically, the Program Director is responsible for implementing the Y mission, strategic goals, key initiatives and core values. This involves all aspects of developing and delivering new and existing quality youth and family programs at the branch and across the Southern Alameda County region, building and retaining an outstanding staff, and establishing the YMCA as a vital force for local community development.
Program areas include sports, traditional and specialty day camps, teen leadership development programs, parent/child programs, asset development and other community programs. The Community Programs Director will be assigned to the Fremont branch but will contribute to and have shared responsibility for the success of youth and family programs across the three branches of the Southern Alameda County region of YMCA of the East Bay (Fremont, Tri-Valley, and Eden Area).
Responsibilities:
-Directing and expanding current programs in the local community where you are assigned. This includes staff supervision and hiring, community outreach, interaction with our members, etc.
-Identify, create, and implement new programs throughout the region, based on the needs of the communities that each branch serves.

-Assisting in development of and adherence to budgets, revenue generation, and marketing for programs and services.
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – including the ability to interact with a wide variety of community members.
-Part of management team and must have interpersonal skills to effectively achieve goals across departments and branches.
-Actively recruit volunteers and engage them in the YMCA programs and mission.
-Participate in fundraising efforts, including a number of local fundraisers with the teen leadership development programs, the branch special events, and the YMCA Annual Partners Campaign.
Qualifications:-Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university is preferred.
-A minimum of 3-5 years of YMCA experience or equivalent non-profit experience.
-A minimum of 5 years of experience leading and developing programs for youth including such program areas as camps, sports, recreation, parent/child programs, health and wellness.
-Must have management proficiency, leadership development capabilities, be skilled in conflict resolution, budgeting, communication, public relations, marketing, volunteer development, supervision, team building, fundraising and program planning and development.
-Current (or ability to attain) CPR/ AED and First Aid certifications.
-Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency.

Fulltime, exempt position plus health and retirement benefits, salary range $42,000 to $48,000. Some flexibility in schedule, some evening and weekend hours required. Job goal:

Primary Responsibility Areas:

Create flyers, program brochures, and other promotional materials for all Y staff to use. Attend and coordinate a variety of YMCA events throughout the year.
-Administration Support: Provide administration support to top-level YMCA executives, including the Branch Director and Regional Executive Director.

Terms of Employment:
Full time, exempt position plus health and retirement benefits. Our salary target is $40,000 +/- as our primary focus is to on-board the right individual.
