Senior Mechanical Engineer, Member of Technical Staff

Job Description
Silevo is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer.



Responsibilities
Responsible for performing professional mechanical engineering research, design, development, modification, and evaluation in support of the company's solar capital equipment, automation and Integration of systems to meet factory process flow.
Generate and/or direct 3d/2d CAD layout/design activities and verify accuracy of final documentation.
Determine design approaches, procure parts, build assembly, FEA and conduct experiments, analyze results and provide recommendations. ]
Evaluate supplier capabilities. Set up/create PDF’s, ECO’s, CAD workflows, drawing and BOM templates to Silevo standards.
Expected to independently take initiative on research of new approaches

Requirements
BSME/MS in related field of discipline or equivalent required
10+ years of experience in the design of chamber vessels, complex mechanisms for vacuum, Atmospheric and wet systems for the capital equipment industries of Solar, Flat Panel Display and Semiconductor required
Design of chamber, actuators, Lifts, conveyor systems.
Applied designs for DFM to ANSI, ISO, UL, CE and Semi standards. Can take initiatives to explore new processes and materials. Plan the project with timing, resource and budget properly.
Expert knowledge of Autodesk ACAD, Inventor and PDM.
Independent problem solving for trouble shooting and improvement of design

Working knowledge of XP, MS Office
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
