Career Coach, Oakland

We are seeking a self-confident team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire others. The incumbent will have strong organizational abilities and great compassion in providing career counseling, case management, job readiness, job placement, and job retention services to clients with barriers to employment; including the homeless, formerly incarcerated, and low-income non-custodial parents.   You will make job placements, market Rubicon services to the community, conduct intakes and determine eligibility, conduct classes on topics such as job readiness, career advancement, and assess client needs to develop self-sufficiency plans.

There are two full-time, non-exempt positions available between our Housing Stabilization Program (HSP) and Career Employment Center (CEC) Oakland sites.

Competencies & Requirements:
·         Solid job development, career counseling and/or case management experience and expertise;
·         Workshop facilitation skills and abilities; computer and internet proficiency;
·         Teamwork, interpersonal flexibility, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to inspire others;
·         This position requires occasional travel to appointments and other Rubicon meetings; if the employee opts to meet these travel requirements by driving, proof of a valid and current driver license, current auto insurance, and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report are required.
