Job
Description:
- Launch, Test and Recover Balloons
- Launch Operations - Primary Role
- Work in 6-12 person team
- Upgrade, test, and troubleshoot flight
systems
- Fill and launch balloons according to
established procedures
- Recovery Operations - Additional Role
Job
Requirements:
- Demonstrate ability to lead small
teams independently
- Ability to work away from home both
domestically and abroad.
- 70-90% national and international
travel REQUIRED
- Physically fit – must be able to
travel with a 60 lb back-pack on a daily basis
- Valid Passport REQUIRED
- Clean driving record (No DUIs, or more
than 2 traffic violations during previous 3 years)
- Must be able to take a background
check and drug test
- Ability to rent a vehicle
- Clean credit record (must have a
credit card)
- Excellent written and verbal
communication skills
- Ability to provide clear and concise
feedback
Relevant
Experience:
- Information technology or electronics
experience preferred
- Military experience Highly desired!
- Outdoor experience/hobbies a plus
- OSHA heavy equipment certifications a
plus
Technical
Requirements:
- Linux-Operating system-command lines
- Radio-experience spectrum management-a
plus (Radio Management)
- Networking-router configuration; set
up networking routers
- Using IP addresses
- Working with Windows (command lines)
- Software writing
- Programming/Coding experience
Pay
Rate:
- Employee Status: W-2
- $22 per hour
