Calphin Aquatic Club, one of the fastest growing aquatic centers, is a private
business based in Fremont. Co-founded by an Olympic swimmer, it was recognized as the Best of Bay swim school in 2009 & 2010 by KRON-4 viewers. It offers featured swim lessons, master swim, fitness membership and other aquatic services year-round. The club moved into its new facility with two indoor heated swimming pools in 2008. Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Safety & responsibility sense
- Lifeguard, CPR & First Aid certifications (for lifeguard)
- Fluent in English with a high school education
- 16 years old with work permit
- Healthy with reliable transportation
- Pass criminal background check
Desirable Job Qualifications:
- Love to teach & work with children
- Swim coaching and instructing experiences
- Competitive swim experiences
- Water Safety Instructor & AED certifications
- Multi-lingual in Chinese, Hindi, and etc.
- College education in related fields
Essential
Responsibilities:
- Embrace Calphin mission with a spirit of love, passion, care and fun
- Ensure the safety and well-being of our swimmers and customers
- Instruct swim classes from children to adults, beginner to competitive (Swim Instructor)
- Deliver learning progression in a safe and fun environment (Swim Instructor)
- Patrol and scan the pools, proactively prevent accidents (Lifeguard)
- Observe and enforce all pool rules (Lifeguard)
- Commit to the assigned work shifts or schedules
- Timely Recognize & respond to emergency situations providing proper care as trained
- Administer CPR and First Aid when needed
- Assist in any emergency situation as trained
Compensation: Part-time position; $9.00 - $15 / hr depending on
experience
