ESL Filler Operator (Pure Pak-Milk)

Safeway’s UHT Milk Plant

Located in San Leandro, California has an opening for an ESL Filler Operator. 

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English language
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, volume etc. and apply concepts of basic algebra
• Knowledge of computers
• Must have effective interpersonal skills and be team oriented
• Ability and willingness to work non-standard work hours and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to Multi-task.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Operate UHT filling (cleaning, sterilizing, and running) and associated equipment
• Operate Material Handling Equipment (Pallet Jack and Fork Lift)
• Ensure optimum quality products by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs
• Ensure adherence to Safeway manufacturing standards and policies
• Ensure regulatory compliance as appropriate (EPA, OSHA, CDFA, CDPH etc.)
• Fill out and maintain records
• Perform sanitary maintenance
• Make controlled adjustments to optimize run efficiency
• Address equipment problems in a way that minimizes downtime
• Other duties as assigned

Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
