Located in San Leandro, California has an opening for an ESL Pasteurizer Operator.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English language
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, volume etc. and apply concepts of basic algebra
- Knowledge of computers
- Must have effective interpersonal skills and be team oriented
- Ability and willingness to work non-standard work hours and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for loading into blenders or tanks
- Ability to Multi-task.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Operate and clean the standardization and blending system.
- Operate UHT (cleaning, sterilizing, and running) and associated equipment (homogenizer, tanks, CIP system, sterile air system, lines and valves).
- Ensure optimum quality products by mixing ingredients to specifications by following formulas and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure adherence to Safeway manufacturing standards and policies
- Ensure regulatory compliance as appropriate (EPA, OSHA, CDFA, CDPH etc.)
- Fill out and maintain records
- Perform sanitary maintenance
- Operate Material Handling Equipment (Pallet Jack and Fork Lift).
- Other duties as assigned
Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
