Abaxis Inc, a manufacturer of blood point-of-care diagnostic systems based out of Union City, is seeking qualified candidates for the following role:
DESCRIPTION
- Work with other groups in the Rotor Manufacturing Department to schedule and coordinate the workflow of the Quality Control functions to support the production lines
- Work closely with the group to coordinate calibration testing, analyzers PMs and training activities
- Perform all QC functions including inspection, testing, line clearance, results assessment, product troubleshooting
- Work closely with Troubleshooters and Supervisors to make line stop and product re-inspection decisions
- Ensure that all batch record documentation is accurate and delivered on time
- Contribute significantly to continuous improvement and procedure update efforts
- Train QC technicians to new or updated procedures
- Collect and analyze data and generate reports
- Work on special assignments with minimum supervision
- Flexibility in schedule to cover and back up QC Day shift Lead or QC Swing Shift Lead: Be able to work in either day or swing shift
QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Skills/Experience)
- BS degree in relevant field or 5+ years of QC inspection and testing and leadership experience in a fast pace environment
- GMP training and experience preferably in a medical device company
- Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word, MS Visio, Crystal reports, or similar software
- Strong English writing and communication skills
- Fast learner with excellent organization and multitasking skills
- Previously worked under a stereo microscope is a plus
