Operations Manager

Royal Restrooms of California, a private, Restroom and Shower Trailer Rental Company headquartered in Livermore, California, This is a highly visible position within the organization and the selected candidate will report directly to the company President/Owner.

Expectations: 
Provide clients with outstanding, friendly, professional service in a prompt manner, and is primarily responsible for providing leadership and coordination of sales, logistics for trailer rental and fleet management. This includes delivery and set up and pick up of restroom and shower trailers to clients at their site or venue, as well as, service calls as needed. Maintain high level of customer service in all situations. Understands and maintains quality of all trailer functions. Should be able to cover selected work positions, filling in wherever needed.

Ops Manager will directly supervise Drivers in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Ops Manager will accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling and disciplining employees. The Ops Manager will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery and proper presentation standards of all trailers which also includes cleaning, stocking and maintaining the trailers. 

Report to: Company President/Owner
Work Hours: 4-6 days per week and 4-9 hours per shift / Weekdays, weekends and evenings
Work Environment: 
  • Hands-on / Phone and email / indoor and outdoor setting
  • Work areas include residential and commercial sites for delivery, pick up and service

Experience: 
  • Minimum 3 months customer service experience and/or previous sales experience.

Technical Skills/Training/Certification:
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Good phone skills.
  • Ability to read company materials.
  • Ability to write.
  • Have a general knowledge and understanding of basic mechanics.

Physical Requirements: 
  • 18+, valid driver’s license.
  • Good driving record.
  • Sense of direction/map reading skills.
  • Bend, stoop, and reach to set up, clean up and pick up trailers.
  • Carry up to 50 lbs unassisted.

Responsibilities :
General Operations
  • Prepare and deliver and set up trailers
  • Clean, restock and pick up trailers
  • Provide on-site service calls for trailer issues
  • Provide a situation report from site upon completion of each set up or service call. 
  • Have detailed knowledge of all trailer functions
  • Develop plans for new clients and venues for products and services. 
  • Assist in coordinating public affairs, and communications efforts, to include public relations and community outreach. 
  • Maintain the Customer Database as outlined by the company President/Owner.
  • Supervise the planning and development of company marketing and communications materials. 
  • Supervise company community/national trade shows. Including the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, and promotion programs.
  • Represent the company at various community trade shows and/or business meetings to promote the company. 
  • Promote positive relations with partners, vendors, and distributors. 
  • Understand the issues surrounding the inventory and use this knowledge to keep the Driver current by training them and hence the clients.
  • Communicate/Work with President/Owner to ensure we have the appropriate inventory for our annual business model.
  • Communicate weekly with the company President/Owner regarding updates, obstacles, and progress.
  • Adhere to company policies and specifications

Customer Service
  • Make sure all deliveries are expedited properly
  • Have detailed knowledge of all trailer functions
  • Communicate to clients about details of trailer set ups, walk-through and service calls
  • Exceed client expectations throughout rental process
  • Maintain efficient service times
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of trucks and trailers
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
  • Knowledge of strategic planning and execution.
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. 
  • Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations. 
  • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • The ability to motivate and train teams to produce quality sales within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. 
  • Knowledge of working with contract/agreement based relationships.
  • Proof of a winning track record with long lasting relationships with customers/clients.
  • Infectious energy and drive, leadership, mentorship, assertiveness and integrity.
  • Working knowledge of CRM software and how best use the resource.
  • A willingness to work a flexible schedule. This position entails some business travel to visit client facilities which include a wide variety of sites and venues that our trailers will operate. Additionally, there may be long hours attending trade shows.
  • Exceed client expectations throughout rental process.
  • Maintain constant and effective communications with clients, as well as, support staff.
