Toss out years of "this is the way things are done" and look at them from a different perspective Client-facing skills to include cross-functional influence, external and internal consulting/partnering. Personal pride in work tasks Able to source information from many different places, assemble it and find a solution to a problem, where the path to resolution will not be clearly spelled out Ability to work with teams and build relationships using respectful communication/collaboration style The Ideal Candidate: Technical Competencies Min 3-5 years of networking industry work experience Solid understanding of modern Data Center design, medium/high skill level in networking concepts Knowledge of Three Tiered application environments Strong technical knowledge of the data center and its components: Applications, Storage, Network, Server and projects surrounding their planning, design, implementation, operation, and optimization. Network/Infrastructure Security technologies (Firewall, access control, intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, administrative access control) Solid understanding of physical/virtual server connectivity models and leading vendors Programmatic control of infrastructure elements (data model, API) and integration frameworks Competency in software development languages (Python preferred) Grasp of object oriented programming and associated thought processes, including modeling Networking: OSI Layer 2 (Spanning tree, vPC, EtherChannel, VLAN, etc), Layer 3 switching /routing (OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, IPv4/6), DNS/DHCP WAN/ISP, network virtualization (N1kv, VRF), basics of higher layer protocols: SSL/TLS, HTTP, real-time traffic (voice/video) Content Switching (OSI Layer 4-7 Switching, Loadbalancers), Caching and Content Delivery How to Apply Interested candidates are welcome to submit resumes (targeting the above qualifications) to: Nicole Goodfriend, GDH Consulting, Inc. ngoodfriend@gdhconsulting.com
