JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES: • Confirm proper loading/unloading of freight to prevent movement and assure safe and secure transport. • Follow company guidelines and instruction for use of all equipment required for completing the transfer of inventory without loss or damage. • Maintain accurate records on all paperwork related to the security of company inventory. • Act to maintain the security of company inventory and equipment including properly securing loads and attending loaded vehicle, or locking loaded vehicle and communicating to Supervisor before leaving. • Perform pre and post operating vehicle and inventory inspections and identify hazards. • Follow guidelines to work safely and for the safety of coworkers, employees’ personal vehicles, company inventory and equipment while operating company vehicles and/or performing any company activity. • Operate company vehicle within boundaries of company property and within all motor vehicle laws/regulations. Qualification and special skills: • High School Diploma and a minimum of two years safe driving experience. • Valid California license with no record • Valid Auto Insurance • Proven ability to back a straight truck in or away from a dock with minimum clearance and without damage to equipment or injury to employees/people. • Ability to follow instruction and work safely.
