DuPont Industrial Biosciences is
looking to extend our Industrial Biosciences’ Process Operations team. We are
hiring for a Process Technician II to join our overnight shift.
As a Process Technician in our Process Operations group, you will play an integral role in supporting the development, scale-up, and transfer of production processes for our new biotechnology products utilizing state-of-the-art facilities which range in scale from 14L to 3,000L capacities.
Immediate responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Work in the 14L fermentation lab, which supports the development of our R&D projects
Learn to operate 14L fermentors and to monitor biological processes.
Support work will include media preparation, tank maintenance, and analytical processing
Participate in continuous improvement efforts to increase quality and service levels, improve process capabilities and capacities, and achieve higher efficiency and reliability
The ability to work Grave (overnight) shift is a must. In addition, the tasks of this position can be physically demanding.

Skills and Qualifications:
The following are required:
High school diploma paired with experience in fermentation or mechanical maintenance
Must have strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills with a keen focus on safety
Capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Excellent communication skills, flexibility and being a good team player are a must
Outstanding organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and ability to multitask and prioritize projects
Highly motivated with strong problem solving skills
Must have a familiarity with computer-based systems
The successful candidate must be able to work weekends and overtime as required
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.

Two or four year degree in Science/Engineering or relevant field of study
