 Easter Seals Bay Area provides comprehensive in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), 14 months and older, and their families. In addition, Easter Seals places a strong emphasis on the professional development of its staff and offers extensive support and training to all of our employees.

 Because we work with school-aged children, availability to work during the late afternoon/early evening hours is required.

 

Essential Job Functions:
 Under supervision of the Program Supervisor and/or Clinical Manager, implements in-home/community-based intervention for children diagnosed on the autism spectrum.
 Travels to home and other community settings, as required, to deliver services.
 Responsible for meeting established minimum productivity requirements, while providing efficient and effective service in all areas of performance.

Completes necessary documentation within required timeframe, including behavioral data collection and graphing, treatment notes, and other company-related documents and current ABA treatment plans for each client.

Remains current regarding new research, current trends and developments in ABA and related fields.

Attends staff meetings, trainings, and other meetings as requested.

Responsible to complete additional job duties as assigned by Supervisors/Management.

 

Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to:
 High School diploma required; relevant experience preferred.

 

Required Qualifications:

Sensitivity to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population.
 Ability to communicate effectively verbally, hearing and in writing.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion pertaining to the work environment.

Ability to appropriately interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations of ESBA; training provided.

Ability to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.

Knowledgeable and skilled in computer/word processing software and excel.

Ability to travel to multiple work sites; reliable transportation needed (proof of CA valid driver's license, current auto insurance identification card, and acceptable driving record per NIAC standards is required).

Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice and must pass a TB test.

Must have valid California Driver's License and maintain a clean driving record.
 Ability to obtain CPR certificate
 


 

Skills and Qualifications:


Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in child development, special education, early childhood special education, pediatric therapy, social work or related field.

Recent experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or related developmental disabilities in a direct care capacity preferred.

Knowledge of evidence-based methodologies found to benefit children with ASD preferred, including Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication-Handicapped Children (TEACCH), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), and Pivotal Response Training (PRT)

Previous experience providing education, coaching and support to families with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or related developmental disabilities a plus.

American Sign Language or bi-lingual ability.

 

Physical Requirements:

Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, twisting in order to observe, assess, and interact with clients.

Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time, stand for up to 6-8 hours a day.

Frequent speaking and listening (50%) to clients, staff, and other professionals in meetings and on the phone.

Frequent driving (to and from office and client homes)

Occasional sitting and maintaining close visual attention to write reports and work at the computer.

Occasional lifting, carrying, and loading/unloading toys and materials up to and including 25lbs to 50lbs used in home visits.

Ability to physically implement behavior management strategies including responding to physically aggressive behavior.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the Equipment & Facilities Technician is responsible for maintenance and repair of all machinery, equipment and supporting systems through the Meyer Sound campus. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Responsibilities:

    Schedule and/or performs regular maintenance and/or repair services for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, chemical and waste collection.
    Troubleshoots minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement. Resolves machine/equipment issues and completes on-the-fly root cause analysis of simple repairs. Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical systems of the machine; completes troubleshooting and replaces parts when the cause is found. Performs equipment service: changing oil, changing filters, lubricating equipment, replacing heating elements, and equipment calibrations.
    Evaluates tools and equipment for replacement or repair and assist with the coordination of all facilities projects and vendors. Assists with installations, tooling changes and cleaning for blowers, vacuums, pneumatic, air compressors, regulators, ventilators, pumps, dispenser valves, presses, and paper-making equipment.
    Controls downtime by managing and performing routine preventive maintenance and operation techniques; monitors compliance with the maintenance programs and reports and acts on issues and deficiencies
    Assists the engineering department in troubleshooting and finding tool solutions for manufacturing processes.
    Performs preventive building maintenance duties, caulks windows and doors, repairs and replaces broken windows.
    Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks or urinals, fixing water leaks, leaking faucets, and water fountains. Performs routine electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps and assists in repairing ballast and light fixtures.
    Proactively supports safety programs and initiatives. Ensures safety features and equipment are functioning properly at all times.
    Purchases supplies, equipment, and materials necessary to complete projects.
    Coordinates facilities related projects and vendors.
    Assists the Facilities Director in outside departmental projects as needed.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

5+ years’ experience using hand and power tools and proficiency with heating and air conditioning systems, compressed air, electronics, pneumatic and computer automation controls, hazardous waste, and chemical or specialty gas dispense systems.
Strong shop experience and good mechanical aptitude.
Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk, bend, squat, use hands to work with various tools/equipment, reach, climb and use ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
Ability to work near moving mechanical parts, on roof tops or other high precarious places.
Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate easily with supervisors, team members and outside vendors. Ability to read and write English.
Available to work long days and night/weekend/on-call duty.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment; ability to be flexible and work with a positive attitude.

Job Description:
•           Reviews the lien documentation for any changes/exceptions; requests additional documentation and/or supporting documents, if needed. Compiles and prepares proper lien documents for Essex Credit loans according to policy and procedures.
•           Tracks and submits lien requests to an outside title service.
•           Works closely with Sales Representatives to provide copies of lien documents and/or original lien documents and must ensure timely response to the requests to meet established Service Level Agreements.
•           Interacts directly with internal and external customers as necessary.
•           Controls and maintains a secure environment for lien documentation files.
•           Coordinates requests for State Title work through outside title service.
•           Understands and ensures that the file areas and all documents are in compliance with Customer Privacy Policy.
•           Forwards all executed original documents to lender and/or doc service as required.
•           Images all documents to system in accordance with Essex Credit policy and procedures.
•           Ensures lien documents prepared in-house are filed in an orderly and timely manner; maintains lien tracking system.
•           Completes monthly lien exception reports.
•           Maintains proficient knowledge of the basic legal concepts of secured transactions, as well as variances in applicable state rules and regulations for all states in which Essex Credit does business.
•           Escalates complex problems (i.e., production, systems problems and/or documentation issues) to Supervisor or Manager.
•           Performs other duties as assigned.


 

Skills and Qualifications:


Qualifications:
•           Associates’ degree in finance or business or equivalent combination of education and experience
•           2-3 years experience in a financial institution or in a position in loan processing at a Marine or RV dealership
•           Prior experience with loan processing for Marine and RV loan transactions in a high volume production environment
•           Good knowledge of applicable State and Federal regulations for lien processing
